CASERTA, 9 May 2024-A is born new sporting event a few kilometers from the Royal Palace of Caserta.
A supportive, sponsored event from the Cannavaro Ferrara Foundation,
which will see the presence of big names from the Italian sporting scene: from
Fabio Cannavaro to Francesco Moser, from Ciro Ferrara tod other big names in sport.
This is the first edition of the “Caserta Race Tour”, a maxi-event
sports program scheduled for Saturday and Sunday 1-2 June 2024, with one objective
ambitious: to make known the beauties of the Caserta area.
At the organizational console the ASD Team Giannini in collaboration with
Evolution Bikes and G-Bike Store which, thanks to some prestigious partnerships,
have given life to the first major sporting event in southern Italy which will have as
headquarters the Marcianise Velodrome (Ce), a few steps from the Royal Palace
of Caserta and the amphitheater of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
A weekend full of sport and solidarity is planned during which it will be
It is possible to compete with the big names in sport on the roads of Caserta’s scenery
crossing the evocative places where the Patrimonio works reside
of UNESCO Humanity.
On the calendar there is a 5 km foot race, a Granfondo of around 100 km and
a 60 km cycle tour with departure and arrival from the Marcianise Velodrome
which, for the occasion, will be transformed into a competition field with test bikes, stands,
music, food and services available to all visitors.
To represent the gastronomic treasures of the area some local companies such as
the Consortium of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP which will supply mozzarella
and ricotta in the pasta party or, better yet, renamed “mozza party”, and many others
local products.
The event, as mentioned, takes place under the aegis of the Cannavaro Foundation
Ferrara and will therefore have a beneficial purpose. The founders of the company were present
Foundation, namely Fabio and Paolo Cannavaro and Ciro Ferrara. Lots of VIPs
also from the world of cycling: from Francesco Moser, from
Giovanni Visconti to Valerio Agnoli, from Angelo Furlan to Alessandro Bertolini.
Everyone is present for a great event that offers over 50,000 euros as prizes
of prizes.
The program
On Saturday 1st June a real village will be set up
within which various activities will take place, such as test-bikes at the
presence of top companies in the sector such as Scott, Trek, Wilier, Corratech,
Fantic, Moser, Bottecchia and Guerciotti as well as Haibike, Torpado ;Fondriest, GTA. There is also space for children with an outdoor “Kids bike park” and an “Spin bike”. There will also be moments dedicated to cycling safety with the presence of the Michele Scarponi Foundation and ACCPI. At the end of the day, the 5 km running race will take place on the Marcianise urban circuit.
On Sunday 2 June, however, two key events: the Granfondo and the Cycle Touring
which take place on a route designed along the territory of the province of
Caserta.
The routes
The proposed routes offer an exciting experience through landscapes
picturesque and evocative. Along the panoramic roads the
refreshment points and mechanical assistance. One aspect of particular attention is
been reserved for the accessibility of the route.
The departure and arrival have been specially organized in a way accessible to all, with the availability of parking for the public to facilitate the arrival and departure of the participants.
A transport service is also being studied together with the Municipality of Caserta
easy and efficient public, especially for those who wish to visit
the renowned Royal Palace of Caserta.
Tourist packages are available for the event which, in addition to the races,
they also offer hotel accommodation, transfers and car rental
bicycle and other complementary services.
