PALERMO – In the last game of the regular season Palermo will play tomorrow 10 May at 8.30pm Bolzano against Südtirol. With the certainty of participating in the play-offsthe objective of the rosanero will be to maintain sixth place by protecting them from attacks by Sampdoria, playing in Catanzaro, and Brescia on the pitch at the same time, like all the other teams, in Bari. The importance of sixth place, which allows playing the first match of the play-offs for promotion to Serie A at home does not allow for any distractions or drops in tension.

The last of the championship with a head to the play-offs

The path taken so far by Palermo under the guidance of Mignanifour draws and two defeats, does not authorize us to exceed optimismbut, as we know, anything can happen in the play-offs and the recent adventure experienced with Silvio Baldini is proof of this.

Tomorrow, when choosing the starting eleven, Mignani will also have to take into account the fact that a yellow card received in the ninety minutes of play against Südtirol will trigger the disqualification of those players on a warning, whose list includes Diakité, Nedelcearu, Ceccaroni, Ranocchia, Segre and Di Francesco. Of the six players who have been warned, three should start, Diakité, Nedelcearu and Ranocchia, while Ceccaroni, Segre and Di Francesco should start from the bench.

It is probable that Diakité, even if against Ascoli his position as right winger in midfield gave impetus to the move, will return, together with Lucioni and Nedelcearu, to be part of the defensive trio, while Buttaro will be busy on the right in the five-man midfield with Lund, Ranocchia, Stulac and Henderson, giving Gomes the chance to catch his breath.

Probable lineups

Desplanches should be reconfirmed in goal, while Soleri and Brunori should still feature in attack, both of whom scored against Ascoli on Saturday. Palermo on the pitch, therefore, with the 3-5-2 with Desplanches; Diakité, Lucioni, Nedelcearu; Buttaro, Ranocchia, Stulac, Henderson, Lund; Soleri, Brunori.

Südtirol, which no longer has anything to ask for from the championship, should line up with the 3-4-2-1 formed by Poluzzi; Giorgini, Cagnano, Masiello; Molina, Arrigoni, Kurtic, Davi; Mallamo, Casiraghi; Odogwu.
