On 10 May 2024, at 3.00 pm, in the Aula Magna of the Court of Appeal of Salerno, the conference “Safety measures for the mentally ill: state of the art and new perspectives between law, science” will be held psychiatry and application practices”. The event, organized by Apertis Verbis, an association of young lawyers and jurists from Campania; SIMSPe. – Italian Society of Penitentiary Medicine and Healthcare; Giorgio Ambrosoli Salerno Association and Order of Doctors and Dentists of the Province of Salerno, is sponsored by the Bar Associations and the Criminal Chambers of Salerno and Vallo della Lucania as well as by ASL Salerno.
It will deal with the legal and health problems encountered in the application and execution of safety measures for mentally ill people who commit crimes: the current legislation, in fact, requires legislative, health and social interventions that allow its concrete implementation, in respect for the dignity of people and the safety of citizens.
