It is the dramatic story of domestic harassment that comes from Trani, where the police arrested a 53-year-old local man and his 34-year-old partner. The first is charged with the crime of aggravated sexual assault. The woman, the girl’s mother, is accused of domestic abuse.
The agents of the Flying Squad of the BAT Police Headquarters, who intervened following a report from the Social Services of the Municipality of Trani, put an end to the long waking nightmare experienced by the victim.
The investigations, coordinated by the Tranese prosecutor’s office, have thus made it possible to shed light on numerous episodes of sexual abuse suffered by the 13-year-old at the hands of her stepfather. As if to buy the little girl’s silence, the man gave her sums of money or gave her gifts of various kinds, so as to prevent her victim from telling her mother everything about her.
The officers also gathered very serious elements regarding the woman, which led to the arrest. Based on what was reconstructed during the investigative activity, the 34-year-old would in fact have subjected her three minor children to continuous mistreatment, both physical and psychological.
The doors of the Trani prison opened for the man, while the woman ended up under house arrest.
