Ragusa – In recent days the Ragusa Police reported a 51 year old man from Ragusa to the Judicial Authority in a state of freedom, believed to be responsible for the crime of damage followed by fire committed against the owner of a commercial business and for the crime of illegal carrying of a knife. The events occurred in recent days, in the middle of the night, when a fire was reported to the Operations Room of the Police Headquarters at a retail business located in Ragusa in the Via Paestum area. The Flying Squad Agents and the Fire Brigade intervened on site to put out the flames. The staff found that some cardboard boxes placed on a metal structure outside the business and which was used to display goods for sale had been set on fire.

Shortly afterwards, during the same night, after the initial investigations, the Flying Squad Agents managed to track down the fifty-one-year-old believed to be the perpetrator of the crime in Ragusa, in the Via Risorgimento area. During the search the subject was found in possession of 4 lighters and a knife which were seized.
