I have read and appreciated the appeal that members of the youth movements of the Democratic Party and + Europa have jointly launched in recent days regarding the lack of study and socialization spaces for our children.
There is an evident discrepancy between the total unavailability of spaces for studying, but also for sharing emotions, ideas, initiatives, dreams and the enormous real estate assets of the Municipality of Benevento: so much so that the institution has been trying to sell part of these assets, without success.
I myself have addressed the topic in recent years with the presentation of the regulation for the shared administration of common goods in the competent commission, hoping to propose a virtuous model already tested in other realities with positive results, based on collaboration between entities and citizens in a classic scheme of participatory democracy: that is, stipulating collaboration agreements that would allow citizens to manage and take care of assets that would otherwise be abandoned, granting them free of charge or with benefits to be agreed upon.
A solution that is certainly better than the deterioration of assets resulting from abandonment, even more so if the assets in question are managed by citizens or associations with the aim of creating social benefits. And it would certainly have a very important social impact, in a historical moment like this, to offer our children places to gather, study and share.
We live in times in which depopulation is a scourge for our internal areas, with young people who are forced to leave due to the absence of prospects, spaces, and above all listening.
Yes, I believe that guys like Stefano Orlacchio, Davide Emanuele Iannace, Arturo Mariano Iannace, Paolo Cavallo and Alfonso Maria Gallo should be listened to: their proposal should be taken into serious consideration by the municipal administration.
