Umbria Jazz Foundation celebrates a positive balance and prepares the 2024 edition

During the members’ meeting held on May 9th, the Umbria Jazz Participation Foundation announced a very positive financial result for the year 2023, with a positive balance sheet of approximately 135,000 euros. This outcome represents a confirmation of the Foundation’s ability to effectively manage the funds received, both public and private.

Gian Luca Laurenzi, president of the Foundation, expressed great satisfaction with the results obtained, attributing the credit for this success to teamwork involving members, the board of directors, employees, collaborators and the Board of Statutory Auditors. Laurenzi’s statements during the assembly highlighted the sense of pride and recognition towards the work carried out by all members of the organization.

The announcement of these positive results comes at a significant time, as the Foundation prepares for the 2024 summer edition of Umbria Jazz, one of the most important jazz events internationally. The festival is scheduled to take place in Perugia from 12 to 21 July 2024, and its full billboard will be revealed on 23 May. This advance generates great anticipation and interest, reflecting the growing importance of the festival not only as a cultural event, but also as a driver of economic and tourism development for the region.

President Laurenzi also took the opportunity to extend his best wishes to the new president of the Perugia Foundation, Alcide Casini, wishing him success in his upcoming mandate. The optimism and dynamism exuded by President Laurenzi’s words indicate a positive and ambitious direction for the Umbria Jazz Foundation, underlining its crucial role in promoting and supporting jazz music in Italy and around the world.

The meeting concluded with a climate of confidence and high expectations for the future, marking another successful chapter for the Umbria Jazz Foundation under the expert guidance of its board of directors. With the continued support of its members and collaborators, the Foundation is ready to once again offer an unforgettable experience to jazz enthusiasts who will converge in Perugia in the summer of 2024.
