“Off with the mayors’ signatures. We start with Melucci” – headlines today’s edition of Puglia newspaper in an article by Domenico Palmiottitalking about the Mediterranean Games.
It’s mayors’ time for the Mediterranean Games, summoned by commissioner Massimo Ferrarese to sign the memorandum of understanding – writes the Daily – an agreement which details, for each Municipality, works, interventions, resources, timetable and tasks. The series of mayors opens with Rinaldo Melucci of Taranto today at 1pm. On Monday it will be the turn of the mayors of Brindisi, Giuseppe Marchionna (at 10.30am) and of Lecce, Carlo Salvemini (at 3pm). Also today, after Melucci, the first citizens of Crispiano, Massafra, Conversano and Grottaglie will sign. Tomorrow, however, it will be the turn of Castellaneta, Martina Franca, Avetrana and Montemesola. On Monday it will be the turn of the mayors of Mottola, Laterza and Ginosa. Next Thursday, however, the mayors of Fasano and Torricella are expected to sign.
