ITALIA WINE EXPERIENCE, ABRUZZO EDITION was born from the awareness of the great quality of food and wine production that this region can offer today and from the equally important need to communicate it. An event exclusively for the promotion of viticulture and food and wine 100% MADE IN ABRUZZO.

The event enjoys the patronage of Consortium for the Protection of Abruzzo Wines and the collaboration of Fisar, delegations from Teramo, L’Aquila and Pescara.

THE PURPOSES

– TO COMMUNICATE. Enhance and raise awareness of the rebirth of this beautiful area, which has always been suitable, to an audience of enthusiasts and media operators, Roman and local. The choice also, which location, of an agricultural company (the PODERE SANTA LUCIA) is aimed at making known the accommodation capacities of this area and its beautiful countryside, which can offer unique, 360-degree experiences, attracting visitors even from large cities, primarily from the Capital.

– PROMOTE B2B MEETINGS. Create a meeting opportunity with sector operators in Rome, press and Ho.re.ca. To this end, a selected group of operators will be invited to participate in the inaugural aperitif and dinner (which will be held on the evening of 7 June, to encourage meetings with the producers present in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere.

– PROMOTE WITH ELEGANCE. A further “password”, fundamental for us, is to create an elegant and refined event, which presents an image of this region and the quality it offers in a different way, compared to that of a village festival or fair. , which food and wine events often offer.

MASTERCLASS

They will be proposed three thematic Masterclasses, aimed at exploring the important wine production of this region, located in the heart of Italy. The great wines of the region will be offered for tasting; through a complete sensorial experience the sub-areas, the great vines and the history of wine-growing Abruzzo will be told.

Our Masterclasses will be held in collaboration with Fisar delegation from Teramo and with Fisar in Rosa, and conducted by expert sommeliers and tasters, profound connoisseurs of local wines.

Podere Santa Lucia, Tossicia (TE) – Tasting of approx 50 producers of food and wine excellence. The tasting stands will be arranged so as to ideally represent the shape of the region and organized and divided into the four main sub-areas of the territory. The gastronomic area will be located separately from the tasting tables.

Three in-depth masterclasses will be organized on Saturday 8 June, to learn more specifically about Abruzzo wine production:

· 12.00-13.30 – Masterclass: “DOCG COLLINE TERAMANE: THE GREAT ABRUZZO IN THE GLASS“.

The Teramo hills, a treasure chest of biodiversity and terroirs suited to viticulture, give life to wines of undoubted value, enhanced in the significant DOCG Colline Teramane. Recognized in 2003, the first and only DOCG of Abruzzo, it represents a beacon of oenological excellence, which enhances the distinctive character of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo created in this specific area.

The Masterclass will be conducted by Giuseppe Ialonardi, delegate of Fisar Abruzzo, Teramo Delegation. Labels being defined.

· 3.00 pm – 4.30 pm – Masterclass: “VERTICAL OF THE GREAT WHITES OF ABRUZZO”.

This land boasts a wide selection of great white wines, the result of fine native grapes. The classic Trebbiano vine, still most widespread in the region today, has been joined by other varieties recovered from the past: Pecorino, Passerina, Cococciola and Montonico, which offer wines with distinctive, unique characteristics, an expression of the lands from which they come. The Masterclass will be conducted by Giuseppe Ialonardi, delegate of Fisar Abruzzo, Teramo Delegation. Labels being defined

· 6.00pm – 8.00pm – Masterclass: “KM 0 FOOD-WINE PAIRING”

Food and wine tasting aimed at creating a a marriage of excellence between gourmet dishes created with 0 km raw materials, territory and fine wines. A sensorial journey to be savored, in which 4 refined gastronomic portions will be served, created by the chef of the farm’s restaurant, combined with labels that best express the great quality of the region’s wine, with a particular focus on Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo, the versatile wine par excellence.

The Masterclass will be conducted by Saula Giusto with the collaboration of Fisar in Pink, the National Fisar project dedicated to valorization of the role of women in the world of wine, which includes not only sommeliers, but also restaurateurs, producers, journalists, bloggers, etc. Labels being tasted and pairings being defined.

· 8.30pm – 10.30pm – Tasting dinner in the presence of the producers.

WINE SHOP

During the event, visitors will be able to purchase wines and gastronomic products for tasting at our Wine Shop corner.

The companies present will have the opportunity to offer their products on consignment at the corner managed by the organization.

AN ECO-SUSTAINABLE EVENT

The installations will be made of cardboard, to create a low environmental impact, plastic-free and 100% Italian, with total respect for the environment. Even all the materials used to carry out the event (from crockery, to tablecloths, to water bottles, to gadgets, etc.) will be made of recyclable, compostable, biodegradable materials.

The event will be enriched by the possibility of having lunch both at the restaurant of the structure hosting the event, and under the trees of the estate thanks to some food stalls, with the most loved and appreciated traditional Abruzzo dishes and products.

The accreditation will be valid only if confirmed by the organization. A security deposit of €5 will be required to collect the glass, which will be returned upon return.

CONCESSIONS: There is an on-site discount for the entrance ticket and masterclasses of €5 per person for the following categories:

THE LOCATION

PODERE SANTA LUCIA – Tossicia (TE)

A small corner of paradise located in Contrada Viola, in the municipality of Tossicia (Teramo), 410 meters above sea level, between the hairpin bends of the so-called Sicilian Valley and on the slopes of Gran Sasso. An architectural work of art that blends harmoniously with its surroundings. In which every detail has been taken care of with love, to create a welcoming, authentic environment, which offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in a unique atmosphere, surrounded by the beauty of the countryside. Podere Santa Lucia is also an agricultural company that uses natural products for the breeding and production of meat: beef, white, pork; as well as eggs, sausages and typical Abruzzo products. Attention to environmental sustainability is reflected in the structure of the farm, to create which natural and sustainable materials were used, with minimal impact on the environment. The park of the farm is a treasure to be discovered: its lawns and centuries-old trees create a magical and relaxing atmosphere. Graduated in Law, with a past as a lawyer for a large banking group. She is the founder of Roma Wine Experience. She has been an Ais sommelier since 2003. She has always been passionate about wine, she writes for her blog and collaborates with other online publications. For years you have occupied various roles in the organization and communication of various events held in Rome. Since 2023 she has been a teacher at the Roman branch of the European School of Sommellerie. You are the chief editor of the Il Nebbiolo App Guide and collaborates with Pecora Nera Casa Editrice on the drafting of the ARSIAL Lazio guide, which is currently being published.
