Torre del Greco – Visit by CONI president Giovanni Malagò on Monday
At 4 pm visit to the areas where the Cittadella dello Sport will be built.
The highest summit of national sport visited Torre del Greco to view, together with the mayor Luigi Mennella and the technicians of the Municipality, the projects relating to the Citadel to be built in the Viale Europa area, from the stadium to the sports hall and public swimming pool, these facilities the last two whose works are destined to start after the summer.
Precisely in the area of Villa Inglese Giovanni Malagò will arrive on Monday 13 May around 4 pm: the president of CONI has in fact accepted the invitation of the mayor to formally inaugurate the projects intended to transform the area owned by the institution into
“house of sport” of the fourth city of Campania. Together with the projects for the sports hall and swimming pool, which have already been tendered and whose procedures for starting the works are nearing completion, the ideas relating to the new stadium will also be presented to the highest summit of the national Olympic committee which, in the intentions of the municipal administration, will have to always arise in the area, destined to also host Serie B championship matches.
On this occasion, Malagò will also be made aware of the Municipality’s intention to organize a national under-17 football tournament for next 25 and 26 May.
