Marsiland, more and more consensus in the area

The organizational machine of Marsiland it doesn’t stop and continues to gather support in the area. The staff of the Agri-food festival, conceived by the trade associations with the support of the Municipality of Avezzano, of the Abruzzo Region, in particular the Department of Agriculture, through the operational arm of Arap, of the Province of L’Aquila, of the Gal Marsica, of the Marsica Territorial Pact, of the Fucino PGI Patata Protection Consortium, which has the objective of valorising the crops of Marsica, its uses and customs, is working to organize new events aimed at making known the gastronomic excellences and cultural events in the area. In recent weeks there have been many attestations received from various quarters for this project which aims to give prestige to Marsica, Fucino and the history of this land.

“The success of Marsiland is the result of a synergistic work that is involving all the actors of the territory”, declared Ernesto Di Renzo, artistic director of the event and professor at the Tor Vergata University of Rome “we are particularly grateful to the institutions that have believed in this project and provided their invaluable support. Thanks to their contribution we are building this project which aims to enhance our excellence by attracting a large and qualified audience”.

Last week Marsiland, with Professor Di Renzo, was the protagonist of the event “Sport, nutrition and psychophysical well-being: the scientific point of view” organized in collaboration with “Avezzano city of culture on the move”. A moment of discussion on how healthy eating and the practice of sport can bring important health benefits both in terms of physical fitness and psycho-somatic well-being.

“During the conference, which was attended by university professors from all over central Italy, we received the unanimous support of the institutional representatives and the entire audience,” continued Di Renzo, “in particular the mayor Gianni Di Pangrazio and the councilor regional Mario Quaglieri confirmed their support for the next events.

The same thing was also reiterated by the regional councilor Emanuele Imprudente, who has always been close to the initiative, and the regional councilor Massimo Verrecchia who presented a bill to recognize in Marsiland the high cultural, tourist and food and wine promotion value it gives prestige to the territory of Marsica and the entire Abruzzo. Our thanks to everyone. We are confident that Marsiland can become a permanent fixture in the calendar of events in our area. We will continue to work to make this event grow and to make it increasingly a point of reference for the promotion of Marsican agri-food”.
