REGGIO – The book “Story of Giuseppe Zuccalà” is presented

Tomorrow afternoon, in Reggio, at 4.30 pm, in the “Trisolini” room of Palazzo Alvaro, the book will be presented Story of Giuseppe Zaccalà, doctor and mayor of San Lorenzo Of Fortunato Mangiola.

The event was organized by International Writers Center of Calabria.

After the greeting from Filippo Quartuccio, delegate for culture of the metropolitan city of Reggio Calabria, speeches and testimonies from Mons. will follow. Pasqualino Catanese, Vicar General of the Diocese of Reggio – Bova; of the Hon Saverio Zavettieri, mayor of Bova Marina; of the prof. Pasquale Amato, Historian, university professor, member of the Scientific Committee of the CIS of Calabria; of Dr. Pasquale Veneziano, president of the Medical Association of Reggio Calabria; of Dr. Paolo Tuscanoformer chief editor of the Gazzetta del Sud Reggio Calabria.

The meeting is coordinated by Dr Loreley Rosita Borruto, president of the CIS of Calabria. His son, Dr., will be present at the event. Saverio Zuccalàand the author.

Giuseppe Zuccalà (San Lorenzo 1909 – 1968) marked the history of the Municipality of San Lorenzo, from the Tuccio valley and beyond. Graduated brilliantly in Medicine at Sapienza of Rome, after having spent a period in the Eternal City, in 1939 decided to practice as a doctor in his country of birth. Mayor since 1943, he committed himself to improving the lives of his fellow villagers. His work as a doctor and mayor made him a special person and an object of admiration, esteem and affection.
