The local police has issued two ordinances to regulate pedestrian and maritime traffic in order to guarantee the fluidity of transit, temporarily closing some streets and establishing one-way streets, especially in the area of Sant’Agostino and San Giacomo dall’Orio, the closest neighborhoods at the Scuola Grande di San Giovanni Evangelista, headquarters of the G7.
Door-to-door waste collection has also been limited to the early hours of the morning.
Hundreds of police officers are deployed to ensure the sessions, which will take place from 2pm today until 2pm tomorrow. At 5:00 pm today, a demonstration of opponents is expected with a concentration at the Santa Lucia train station.
