The historic center of Potenza is still the scene of massive activity fight against drug dealing carried out by the Carabinieri.
On Sunday night i Carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit from the Potenza Company they have a 22 year old arrested of the place, who hoped to go unnoticed among the nightlife in the alleys of the central Via Pretoria.
It didn’t help for the young man to try to blend in with the patrons of a bar, his attitude immediately seemed suspicious to the police and so checks were carried out which revealed that he was in possession of 16 already packaged doses of cocainebeyond 8,000 euros in cash, packaging material and a precision scale.
The young man, accompanied to the Carabinieri offices in via Pretoria, was declared under arrest and placed under arrest under house arrest available to the Judicial Authority and following validation by the GIP office, it was subjected to the precautionary measure of the obligation to present it to the Judicial Police.
A certainly unexpected epilogue for the young boy who, beyond the presumption of innocence that exists in his favor until the final sentence of conviction, marks another point in favor of legality and confirms the constant commitment of the Carabinieri of the Provincial Command of Potenza in tighten the controls on nightlife even more.
