Letters from the front, Gianluca Amatucci presents his essay in Avellino – WWWITALIA

From a monologue, conceived and produced by the journalist Gianluca Amatucci, and taken on tour in Irpinia, “Letters from the front. Humanity in the trenches” for the types of Terebinto editions. Presentation tomorrow May 10th at 5pm at the Avellino Press Club.

The professor will discuss with the author of the book Fiorentino Vecchiarellipresident of the Dogliosi Academy and journalist and writer Eleonora Davidewhile a musical moment will be curated by Paolo De Vito And Patrizia Girardi.

The monologue, based on the epistolary testimonies of soldiers from the First and Second World Wars, as well as those relating to other more recent conflicts, has achieved a well-deserved success in recent months, involving not only the adult public but also the Avellino school audiences. In the volume, in addition to a chapter dedicated to this production, there is accurate research on the stories of the Irpinia soldiers, including some missing, whose families have asked for reasons. Amatucci, passionate about military history, conducted meticulous research that provides a glimpse of life in situations of extreme necessity.

Gianluca Amatucci

Born in 1971, he lives and works in Avellino as a journalist. After graduating he embarked on a military career, passing the 148th AUC course in Cesano di Roma and serving as a second lieutenant in Trento until 1994. He collaborated with various television stations and newspapers in Campania. He is vice president of the National Infantryman Association – Avellino.
