Accident in Trento, roads blocked

Queues and traffic disruption following a road accident that occurred this morning, Thursday 9 May, around 6.30 am, on state road 12 Dell’Abetone and Brennero, near the San Nicol bridge, in southern Trento. Medical rescuers, firefighters and law enforcement were on site. Two vehicles and three people were involved: a 43-year-old man, a 35-year-old woman and a 44-year-old woman. The two women were transported to the Santa Chiara hospital in Trento under code red, while the 43-year-old was unharmed. Traffic blocked in a southerly direction from exit 4 to exit 9 in Trento, and not only that: the accident also caused queues and slowdowns on the state road 45 Bis Gardesana Occidentale from Trento to Vigolo Baselga and on the state road 47 Della Valsugana in the Martignano tunnel in the direction Trent. An accident that slowed down and caused a lot of inconvenience to workers and students, which was resolved only around 9:00, leaving heavy queues until around 11:00.
