Tomorrow, Friday 10 May 2024at 4 pm, the inauguration of the Garden of the Righteous with the laying of the first stone in memory of the judge Rosario Livatino.

The multipurpose ITET “Cassandro-Fermi-Nervi” of Barletta, with the support of the Municipality of Barletta, Department of Culture, has started with the students a path of dialogue and knowledge of the women and men who are innocent victims of the mafias and of those who , in every part of the world, have helped the victims of genocide, persecution and totalitarian regimes.
A continuous training and education activity which is followed by the dedication of a green space of the Polyvalent Complex, the Garden of the Righteous, dedicated to the memory of men and women whose stories deserve to be known and elevated as a clear example of uncommon courage and high civic sense.
It is the intention of the Polivalente to plan an activity every year that helps students to learn about and
delve into the history and life of an exemplary figure whose memory will find a place in the Garden of
Right.
For this first year, the figure of Rosario Livatino was chosen, a magistrate killed by the mafia and declared blessed as a martyr of justice and faith on 9 May 2021 by Pope Francis.
