Basilicata Chamber of Commerce approves 2023 budget with significant surplus

The operating surplus stands at 965,000 euros, the best result since 2018

During the last meeting of the Council of the Basilicata Chamber of Commerce, the members unanimously approved the operating budget for the year 2023, recording a surplus of 965,000 euros. President Michele Somma described this result as the best since 2018, the year in which the two provincial chambers were merged.

“It is the best result since 2018, the year of the merger of the two provincial chambers,” said Somma, adding that this success is “the result of the commitment of the entire chamber structure, together with the Executive and the Council”.

The President underlined how the Chamber continues to operate effectively despite the significant reduction in chamber law, maintaining a high level of activities assigned by the reform of the chamber system, such as economic information, promotion, digitalisation, internationalization and orientation.

The effective management of the institution has made it possible to maintain the economic and financial balance and to strengthen the capital consistency of the Chamber, a fundamental condition for supporting initiatives aimed at supporting local businesses.
