Two robberies in a few minutes, in National Street. Intervention by the carabinieri of the company Greek’s tower for both.
The first robbery occurred around 10.30pm. Three strangers, armed (two of the three) and with their faces covered, broke into a pizzeria and demanded money and a mobile phone from the owner. To enter they kicked and damaged the front door and took around 60 euros and an iPhone, then managing to escape.
After about 25 minutes, around 10.55pm, a new intervention by the police. A 21 years old he was withdrawing cash from an ATM when three people with their faces covered (two were armed) beat him and then hit him on the head with the butt of the gun.
They demanded the sum they had just withdrawn, the cell phone and the wallet of the victim, who was then rescued and taken to hospital. A six-day prognosis is expected for bruises to the head and face and a wound to the scalp. Investigations are underway.
