Around 2.30pm yesterday, a team of State Police agents intervened at the San Bortolo Hospital in Vicenza in response to a report regarding an individual who was causing disturbance to the medical and nursing staff. The man insisted on being visited urgently, displaying an agitated and aggressive attitude, claiming to be the victim of an alleged conspiracy hatched by Satanists against him. He stated that he felt strong agitation and pain in different parts of his body.
Despite the officers’ attempts to reassure him and make him think about the reality of the situation, the man accused them of being accomplices of the dark forces that persecuted him. In an attempt to defend himself, he activated his smartphone camera to document the alleged abuse.
Given the failure to communicate effectively with him, the man was visited by specialists who, after evaluating the situation, decided that it was not necessary to hospitalize him or subject him to any particular health interventions.
Once visited by a doctor, the man, a citizen of Serbian origin residing in the province, calmly left the hospital without further incidents.
