More shootings in Aprilia: it is yet another episode in just a few months in the northern Pontine city
This time, as reported in today’s edition of Il Messaggero, it was a forty-year-old Aprilia man who found a shell stuck in the side of his car and another shot that grazed the car. An employee, above suspicion and with no criminal record. He reported the incident which occurred in a side street of Via degli Oleandri to the Carabinieri of the Territorial Department of Aprilia.
A mysterious story but one that could increasingly support the hypothesis that the series of shots that are taking place in Aprilia are the consequence of someone who has taken a liking to scaring the citizens and alarming the police. Obviously, the Army soldiers will leave nothing to chance, also because the series of these acts could instead be of an intimidating nature and hide a racket not yet known. As for the forty-year-old, the field would have already been cleared of suspicions that the shot lodged in his car was aimed at him.
The last episode recorded in Aprilia occurred on the night of May 3rd, when a gunshot was apparently fired in Via Lombardia, which is located a few steps from the city center. The Carabinieri of the Territorial Department who had started the investigation intervened immediately, despite not finding any shell casings on the ground. From what appeared to be a single shot that had echoed through the night.
This was yet another case that has happened in Aprilia in recent months. The last of these occurred on April 24th when six gunshots were fired at a car parked in via Pantanelle.
Last March 11, four gunshots were heard, but there are also eyewitnesses, around 10 am, four gunshots fired from a car traveling on Via Aldo Moro. The shots had hit a car that was parked in the area, probably attributable to the owner of a bar in the area, the “Epicentro coffee food & drinks”,
And then the two episodes that occurred right in Via Lombardia. The first was on January 31st when a Porsche Cayenne, parked on the street, was hit by three gunshots which shattered the front windshield.
The second episode, finally, three weeks later. It was February 23rd when at least three shots were heard by residents, once again in broad daylight.
Episodes which created a widespread feeling of alarm so much so that the Prefect of Latina, Maurizio Falco, in concert with the police, then decided to launch a series of operations with a high impact on the Aprilian territory as a concrete response to the various criminal events that have occurred in the city since the beginning of the year.
Among these, also the arrest of two men last April who, in August 2023, they shot at a car and killed a woman due to retaliation and a question of money.
