Abruzzo weather forecast for Thursday 9 May 2024
SITUATION: Our peninsula continues to be affected by a disturbance of Atlantic origin which, however, starting in the next few hours, will progressively tend to move towards the eastern Mediterranean, favoring a gradual improvement in atmospheric conditions which will begin to appear in the next few hours, for start from the central-northern regions, even if a marked improvement in atmospheric conditions will appear especially at the weekend, due to the rise of a high pressure promontory which will bring good weather and determine a new gradual increase in temperatures, especially in the maximum values . This will be a temporary improvement as the latest updates of the mathematical models highlight a probable collapse of high pressure starting from Monday and the probable arrival of new Atlantic disturbances, but this is a trend to be confirmed in future updates.
FORECAST: General conditions of partially cloudy or cloudy skies are expected in our region with large clearings during the day although, in the afternoon, significant accumulations will be possible close to the reliefs, where scattered showers cannot be excluded, especially on the Marsican reliefs and on the ‘Alto Sangro, occasionally in the L’Aquila area, attenuating and improving in the evening and night.
On Friday, residual cloud cover will be possible in the morning, but the trend is towards a progressive attenuation of cloud cover in the afternoon-evening.
Temperatures: Slightly increasing, especially in the maximum values.
Winds: Weak from the northern quadrants with possible reinforcements along the coastal strip.
Sea: Generally rough.
