Pallavicini Gallery, culture and artists pass through here

Galleria Pallavicini rhymes with Claudia Agrioli (in the photo with Roberto Pagnani). The latter, once she inherited the building located in the street of the same name in Ravenna, moved immediately to support her young talents. How? Meanwhile, with the exhibition of mosaics created by the students of the Academy of Fine Arts for two months, to continue with a photographic exhibition curated by Roberto Pagnani, another pillar of the Gallery. Let’s take a step back: on 10 March 2022 “CARP Associazione di Promozione Sociale” was born, one of Agrioli’s greatest satisfactions. The aim is to promote social projects, especially related to culture. wants to create a circle of young people, organizing events throughout the city. It is from this point that a specific exhibition space is created at Villa Ghigi and one at Galleria Pallavicini 22. There are numerous initiatives planned. From 28 September to 6 October it will be the turn of “CARP for the city”, with the aim of ‘illuminating’ the Farini district through the exhibition of graffiti curated by Giancarlo Gramantieri. Another important collaboration is the one with the established cheese refiner and art lover Renato Brancaleoni. The project, “Simultaneously flavors and art”, will see its second edition from 14 to 22 September.

The collection at Villa Ghigi (via Faentina Nord), of the photographer Roberto Pagnani, is of great importance. Passionate about art and sensitive to avant-garde works, his collection brings together post-war arts from 1955 to 1965. The Villa often welcomes poets, musicians and writers and becomes a literary salon with chamber music. The mosaic has a central role for Galleria Pallavicini. The “I mosaicisti” project was the first contemporary mosaic on which the artists worked without using preparatory cardboard, breaking the mold of the artisan worker. “At the moment we are organizing the event to be held in October dedicated to women in Dante’s time, as well as collaborations with the exhibition spaces in Argenta, Forlì and Bologna. These and many other projects are planned, and it will certainly not be us citizens of Ravenna to block this artistic push promoted by the Gallery which finally revitalizes the area near the station”.
