Today and tomorrow “May to Childhood” at the Cittadella degli Artisti – MolfettaLive.it

Preview at the Citadel of the artists of Molfetta during the May to childhood for the new Teatri di Bari production which tells of youth violence in a raw, contemporary, altered Bari. Thursday 9th and Friday 10th May at 10am on stage I’ll take it. Story of a baby gang, with the dramaturgy curated by Christian Di Domenico with his son Davide Di Domenico and by Gianpiero Borgia, who is also the director. Show that will officially debut on May 17th at the Radar Theater in Monopoli. The XXVII edition of the theater festival for the new generations sees the artistic direction of Teresa Ludovico, the project curated by Cecilia Cangelli and the pedagogical consultancy of Giorgio Testa.

The work, recommended for audiences aged 13 and over, is freely inspired by ‘A Clockwork Orange’, the great contemporary classic by Anthony Burgess, and is the result of “a field research action in our territory – explain Christian By Domenico and Gianpiero Borgia – in the context of youth hardship, accompanied by a boy from 2006 who collaborates on the dramaturgy and tries to act as a cultural mediator between universes incapable of communicating with each other, the adult and the adolescent one, and to reactivate, through the practices plays, the anecdotes, the myths, the episodes that we will plunder following the narrative plot of A Clockwork Orange”.

It is the story of a gang of friends, or gang of bullies, whatever you prefer, of the mythical and practiced violence that they carry within them and of that of an adult and deaf world that thinks it can cure them, without knowing how to listen.

The ticket for the preview is 3 euros, available online on the Vivaticket circuit and at the Cittadella box office (via Bisceglie 775, Molfetta), open every day except Mondays from 5pm to 8pm. For information, call 080 338 70 82 – 392 163 87 82 or send an email [email protected].
