Thursday 9 May at 9.00 pm at the Orfeo theater in Taranto, for the 2023/2024 Musical Events Season, the long-awaited concert “Gloria! Tour 2024”, protagonist Margherita Vicario, accompanied by the Magna Grecia Orchestra directed by Maestro Carmelo Patti. After the prestigious debut at the 74th edition of the Berlinale with her directorial debut “Gloria!”, Margherita Vicario brings the “Gloria! Tour 2024”, the new summer live adventure with which the singer-songwriter, actress and director will guide her audience on an overwhelming musical journey through great hits of the past.
The 2023/2024 Musical Events Season, with the artistic direction of Maestro Piero Romano, is promoted by the Magna Grecia Orchestra in collaboration with the Municipality of Taranto, the Ministry of Culture and the Puglia Region, together with local activities and institutions: BCC -Cooperative Credit Bank, Teleperformance, Ninfole Caffè, Varvaglione Vini, Baux Cucine and Development Program.
In the concert, not only great hits from the past, but also songs from the new EP “Showtime” and samples of the soundtrack of “Gloria!”, written, produced and edited entirely by Margherita herself and the Turin producer Dade. To embellish this concert, the extraordinary synergy established with the Orchestra of Magna Grecia.
“Glory!” was released in Italian cinemas last April with 01 Distribution. Margherita Vicario, Roman, singer and author, actress and screenwriter, wrote the film together with Anita Rivaroli. Produced by Tempesta and Rai Cinema, “Gloria!” it is accompanied by a musical architecture capable of communicating with the eighteenth-century setting through an acute, light but profound language, in playful respect for the musical canons of the time.
