Knife fight in Gad, one arrest

The moments experienced yesterday morning by the inhabitants of Gad were extremely excited.

A violent fight broke out between seven or eight people of Nigerian nationality in Viale IV Novembre. At a certain point one of them pulled out a knife and allegedly injured two people with the weapon.

At that point part of the group fled towards via Cassoli, to take via Ortigara. In the meantime, the residents called 113 and four State Police cars rushed to the scene, joined later by two local police patrols.

Faced with the sound of police sirens, many ran away. Upon their arrival the officers found only two of the contenders. One of the two was particularly agitated, so much so that it was necessary to use stinging spray to stop him.

After identifying him, the officers – having heard the prosecutor on duty, Andrea Maggioni, declared him under arrest for resisting a public official. Once in handcuffs, a police patrol accompanied Cona to the ambulance that was transporting him to be treated in hospital.

But once he reached his destination the man flew into a rage, so much so that he hit a State Police officer with a stretcher, slightly injuring him in the leg.

We are awaiting validation of the arrest by the investigating judge for him.
