An intense one three days in San Damiano d’Asti for the eighth Grappolo Rally which will see the synergy between San Damiano Rally club and Confesercenti Asti for the great sporting and food and wine event”Street Food & Motors”.

Together with the national Il Grappolo Rally, a Street Food village will be set up from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th May for a weekend full of fun, music and motors.

The sporting event, national competition under the aegis of Coni and Aci sport, it has attracted thousands of fans over the weekend for years.

Confesercenti Asti together with the San Damiano Rally Club have decided to create a Street Food village which can increase participation in the weekend with food and wine and entertainment offers.

“We have about fifteen exhibitors – explains the director of Confesercenti Paolo Contardi – and we have carefully selected them to diversify the offers“.

The “Street Food & Motors” Village with an offer of local and national specialties will be operational:

Friday 24 May from 5pm to midnight

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May from 11am to midnight

The evening of Friday 24th will be accompanied by DJ Impa with House/Disco musicthe evening of Saturday 25th will be dedicated to the competition Miss Rally organized by the Gruppo Azzurro association and the evening of Sunday 26th will be accompanied by JDrummer commercial music and revivals of the 70s/80s/90s/2000s.

Saturday and Sunday food and wine and creative market.

Throughout the days there will be a rich sporting programme, car rallies passing through the Municipality and you will be immersed in an atmosphere of competition and fun (competition program info www.sandamianorallyclub.it).

The Rally

The 2024 edition of the famous Asti competition confirms itself as an important crossroads in the calendar reserved for the Aci Sport Zone Rally Cup of which it is the second event after the “Vigneti Monferrini” in March. The structure of the race will not undergo any particular upheavals and will present, as in the last edition, the double special stage on Saturday in Revigliasco with the suggestive and much appreciated second passage at night where interesting surprises are being prepared for the competitors. The news on the route concerns Sunday where the already known “Ronchesio” will be joined by the new “Villafranca” which, as for the “Revigliasco”, will be covered twice and along which they will not be positioned “Virtual Chicane” and “Slow Zone”.

The very compact format has been confirmed with a timetable that will help make the race fluid while avoiding downtime as much as possible, for a competition which, divided into two days, will end in the early afternoon of Sunday with the awards ceremony in the center of San Damiano D’Asti, thus allowing athletes and enthusiasts to organize the return at an acceptable time.

Inside the assistance park, thanks to the “Red Hornets Asti”, the “1st Rally Slot Il Grappolo” will be organized, in addition to which the public will have the opportunity to try out the electric models along a real race track, followed by professionals of the specialty .

Registration for the eighth “Il Grappolo” Rally will close on Wednesday 15 May.
