There is no water at the “Bruschini”: work is stopped and Anzio is forced to train in Cisterna

The season, which is about to end, of theAnzio Calcio. Due to the unavailability of “Massimi Bruschini” stadium due to the work on the new athletics track, the biancazzurri had to play elsewhere, especially largely at the “Domenico Bartolani” stadium in Cisterna. The training sessions were also carried out outside Anzio. All at the club’s expense. In the last month the club decided to train on the “Massimo Bruschini” clay court B. However, this has become impossible because for a month now it has not been possible to wet the dry and dusty ground due to problems with the well which releases water to water the pitch and which serves the changing room showers. At that point the club decided to have the team train from today, Wednesday 8 May, until Saturday morning, again at its expense, at the “Domenico Bartolani” stadium in Cisterna where next Sunday the biancazzurri will face the Gladiator of Santa Maria Capua Vetere in the play-off for survival in Serie D (Mario Guida’s boys will have two results out of three available to remain in the top amateur division). Furthermore, the problem of the well and therefore the lack of water has interrupted the work of the company that is building the new athletics track. However, the youth teams continue to train in camp B and the boys are forced to shower in the changing rooms with what little running water there is. Among other things, a few weeks ago the club had to rent a tanker to water the field to let the young people play on the clay field. All this in the year of the club’s centenary, the oldest in its city.
