Credit Agricole is looking for start-ups in Sicily to help them grow and bring them into its acceleration program. As the innovationisland.it website writes, the call has already started and expires at the end of May.

The objectives are ambitious and will lead to the opening of Le Village an accelerator which will be based in Catania (the first in Southern Italy for the bank) after having successfully tested the model in France in 2014 and the Italian openings in Milan in 2019, Parma in 2020, Triveneto in 2021 and Le Village delle Alpi, in Sondrio, in 2024.

The candidates

Call4startup is an initiative proposed by Crédit Agricole Italia SpA aimed at organizing the “Startup Accelerator Program”. This is an acceleration program aimed at startups already established in corporate form and already operating on the Italian market, proposing innovative technological and/or business solutions. The objective of the Call is to select, according to specific criteria, startups that present innovative solutions and to accompany them in the acceleration program. The participation requirements include a constitution of no less than 6 months and no more than 5 years; presence on the market of at least one product or service; head office in Italy. The entire regulation can be consulted online at this address

Times

You have until May 31st to submit applications. Then a committee will choose the 10 proposals deemed best and the program will start in June. Finally, in October, the selected start-ups will be able to participate in the Pitch Day event and will have access to the new Le Village Sicilia accelerator, once launched in Sicily, for a duration of 3 months.

Technological innovation

Technological innovation is increasingly a decisive tool for agricultural and agri-food businesses that have to face the challenges of the ecological transition and sustainability: this is the focus of the “Agri Innovation Matching” meeting, promoted in Catania by Crédit Agricole Italia with the aim of establishing a connection between startups operating in the agri-food sector and an audience of local companies.
