MARINA DI GROSSETO – Eighth edition of the “Triathlon Elegance Terre di Maremma”, the event with three races – one on a Sprint distance, one on an Olympic distance and one for youth – organized by SBR3 Triathlon in co-organization with the Municipality of Grosseto and scheduled Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May.
As in previous editions, the Olympic distance test (1.5km swimming, 40km cycling, 10km running) will take place on the first day. The initiative will be hosted by the Rosmarina bathing establishment, in front of which the swimming phase will start from 1pm.
On Sunday, after the morning sprint distance race, in the afternoon, from 3.00 pm, the test dedicated to the youngest will take place: more than 350 between 6 and 18 years old, divided into categories, including the exponents of home team SBR3.
The one in Marina di Grosseto will also be valid as a test for the Tuscan Cup and the central Italian circuit (Lazio, Tuscany, Umbria and Molise), as well as the Coni Trophy with the best who will advance to the Italian final.
“We are in a national level context, hundreds of athletes will arrive from all over Italy and beyond and Maremma knows how to host such initiatives. We act in concert with political force and police forces to coordinate an event that acquires greater numbers every year – declares the president of the Grosseto company SBR3 Marco Baldo – What I see in the management of an event of this kind is the active collaboration: from the ProLoco to the Balneari , from local companies to ordinary citizens intrigued by a sport that is no longer just fashion”.
Councilor Fabrizio Rossi was also satisfied, having been at the forefront since the first edition in the creation of the event: “Sports tourism and hospitality are combined in Maremma because they are two sides of our splendid coin: forward with these initiatives especially in May and September in perspective of deseasonalization”.
The initiative was possible thanks to the contribution of some local entrepreneurs and, above all, to the partnership with the main sponsors Conad, Banca Tema, Acquedotto del Fiora and the main institutional partners of SBR3 Riesco, Antiflamme.
