Salento, escaped parrot recovered by firefighters

Parot “escaped” from Monteroni and tracked down by fire fighters on a tree nearby Maglianohamlet of Carmiano, in Salento. The episode occurred late this afternoon. The report made by the residents of via Trappeto in Magliano brought the red helmets of the Veglie detachment to the scene and they had to work hard to find the colorful bird among the branches of the trees and “convince” it to stop its escape.

The road, which was quickly crowded with many onlookers, and parallel to the town’s central square, remained blocked for several minutes to allow the recovery work to take place.
