1-1 with Brugge, the first leg victory was decisive

Fiorentina wins the Conference League final in Athens, the second in a row, and this time Vincenzo Italiano wants the cup. La Viola found a late equalizer in Belgium against Club Brugge (1-1) and goes through thanks to the 3-2 in the first leg.

The match

A match that had become complicated for the Tuscan club and which seemed haunted. Three woods hit, a crossbar in the first half by Kouamé, two in the second half hit by Biraghi from a free kick and again by Kouamé with a header. In the end it was the Argentinian’s goal that sealed the passage to the final for Viola. Now Fiorentina is waiting to discover its opponent, one between Olympiacos and Aston Villa (on the field Thursday evening). There could be another English team in Viola’s path, like West Ham (conference winners) were last year. This time Vincenzo Italiano wants to take the cup, for what would be the last triumph before the farewell, now almost certain.

When it’s the Conference League final

The Conference League final will be staged at the stadium Agia Sophia AEK by Athena the May 29th at 9pm. Fiorentina is the first finalist and awaits the winner between Olympiacos and Aston Villa.
