Rimini, escort doesn’t pay taxes on 5 million but is now in Dubai

A luxury escort of Hungarian nationality, currently residing in the United Arab Emirates, is at the center of a trial at the monocratic court of Rimini for failure to declare income and VAT, relating to a period ranging from 2010 to 2014. The woman, who at the time resided in Riccione and operated mainly on the Riviera with high-class clients, is accused of having accumulated assets of over 5 million euros, evading the tax authorities.

According to what emerged during the investigation by the Guardia di Finanza of Rimini, the escort transferred the money first to San Marino, then to the Principality of Monaco, and then deposited it in a current account in Dubai, where she has currently resided for some years.

The trial took place in the absence of the accused, who currently lives in the United Arab Emirates and has no intention of moving. However, her defender, Stefano Caroli, defended the client by asking for acquittal, claiming that during the investigation some procedural rules were violated which would have compromised the woman’s right to defence.

The escort, during the trial, always maintained that she had tried to open a VAT number to declare her earnings, but that her professional activities are not recognized by the Italian state.

The legal proceedings were initiated following a previous incident in 2015, when the woman was accused of robbing a customer of 100 euros. During interrogation in the courtroom, the escort revealed that she had over 800,000 euros in her account, a revelation that led the authorities to investigate her financial activities and gave rise to charges of tax evasion.

The verdict in the trial is expected on October 22nd.
