Bombing, day of remembrance at the Foundation

CIVITAVECCHIA – The Friends of the Ranalli Fund, together with the Centumcellae Archaeological Association, wanted to dedicate a day of remembrance to the tragic event of May 14th, scheduled at the Cariciv Foundation. An exhibition with themed works is also scheduled on the same day in the entrance hall of the Foundation.

This event will take place on May 14th, from 5pm, in the Giusy Gurrado Conference Room, which will open with greetings from Maria Grazia Verzani, president of the Friends of the Ranalli Fund, Gabriella Sarracco, president of the Cariciv Foundation, and Carlo Alberto Falzetti, president Centumcellae Archaeological Association, which will moderate the interventions.

After a video screening by Gianfranco Fusato and Giuseppe Bellu with vocal commentary by Alfiero Antonini, Daniele Di Giulio will speak, Civitavecchia under the bombs: strategic bombing, deception plans, collateral effects. Giuseppe Bellu, The hidden letter, testimony, Donatella Donati, Grandfather Dante: young people at war, Marina Marucci with Carmen Minieri of the Associazione Le voci, The resistance of women, Giovanna Caratelli: Voices of the past, Mario Camilletti, Re-destruction: the memories , lost opportunities, Rosella Setaccioli, Stolen Childhood. The celebratory exhibition 14 May 1914/2024 will be inaugurated in the entrance hall of the Cariciv Foundation, with the participation of Alfiero Antonini, Luigina Galeotti Vergati, Giorgia Stella, Marina Velotti, Marinella Masala, Valeria Restivo, Laura Egidi, Serenella Piermarini, Monica Di Folco, Mario Giorgio Sarbia.

The exhibition will continue from 15 to 18 May, from 5 to 7 pm, at the Centumcellae Archaeological Association, in Piazza Leandra.
