Messina, the Agreements for Social Inclusion Internships have been signed

At Palazzo Zanca, today, Wednesday 8 May, a meeting of fundamental importance for the social fabric of Messina was held. The Messina Social City Special Agency has formally signed the agreements with the host institutions, thus starting the social inclusion internships as part of the “Completion of New Living Paths” project, financed by the PON METRO ME3.1.1.a.

Between handshakes and smiles, the representatives of the host institutions welcomed the initiative with enthusiasm, anticipating the start of the activities scheduled for next week.

The meeting, which saw the participation of the mayor Federico Basile, the general director of the Municipality Salvo Puccio, the councilor for Social Policies Alessandra Calafiore and the president of the Messina Social City Valeria Asquini together with the members of the Board of Directors, represented a moment of sharing and collaboration between the institutions involved.

Mayor Basile underlined the importance of this step forward, highlighting the fundamental role that the administration has in promoting concrete actions of social inclusion. He also reiterated his commitment to continue the path of socio-educational mediation started by the previous administration, thus offering opportunities for active participation to residents in situations of social and housing disadvantage.

President Asquini then illustrated the details of the project, announcing the start of internships for 600 beneficiaries in host companies as early as next week. Thanks to the collaboration with the Employment Center and the synergy between the institutions involved, this objective has become reality. Numerous entities, including AMAM, ARISME, ATM, LA BRACIOLA and MESSINA SERVICES BENE COMUNE, have already signed agreements to host the interns, while others are preparing to do so, thus demonstrating the strong support and unity of purpose in promoting social inclusion and the economic and employment recovery of the area.

The meeting ended with a climate of trust and determination, giving a glimpse of a future of collaboration and growth for the city of Messina and its citizens.
