A fruitful meeting took place in recent days between the managing director of Asm, Dr. Tiziana Buonfiglio, and the presidents of the Type B social cooperatives involved in the employment of disadvantaged people.
Type B Social Cooperatives carry out essential services on behalf of Asm for the quality of the environment and the life of citizens and families, such as: door-to-door separate waste collection, street sweeping, collection of bulky waste and waste, cleaning of pigeon droppings and porterage at collection centres.
This meeting took place at the conclusion of a process undertaken by the parties which led to an absolutely essential cost recognition to guarantee the efficiency and continuity of services, exceeding what was foreseen by the maximum reduction procedures. All this with a view to making the services provided as efficient as possible, and to obtain an increase in the levels of quality, hygiene and urban decorum and, at the same time, increasingly higher social sustainability, with the use of disadvantaged workers and belonging to the weakest groups.
In light of this recognition, it was agreed between the parties to apply higher penalties than those originally envisaged and not adequate to the amounts of existing loans and, at the same time, to jointly ask the municipal administration for a remodulation of the regulation concerning the delivery of waste, especially during the time it is displayed, always with a view to providing citizens with the most precise and punctual service
