ANCONA – Controls and seizures by the Financial Police on the occasion of the San Ciriaco Fair, which took place last week in Ancona. The checks concerned the regularity of the goods on sale at the stands, as well as the issuing of the receipt to customers.
For example, several counterfeit clothing products have been identified, perfect imitations of well-known international brands, capable of deceiving even the most expert consumers, displayed and sold at surprisingly low prices in order to attract the attention of passers-by. In one stall there were 240 of them, including sweaters, sweatshirts and sweaters. At that point the investigation was extended to the location of the commercial activity. In another intervention, however, the financiers discovered cartoon playing cards, without useful documentation to reconstruct their traceability and origin. A total of 385, also in this case cleverly falsified and purchasable for negligible sums.
Clothes and papers were seized and those responsible were reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
