Social network for the protection of minors. – Bologna Police Headquarters


This morning at the “Modernissimo” cinema in Piazza Re Enzo, following the monitoring activity carried out by the Minors Office of the Anti-Crime Division in 20 communities hosting unaccompanied foreign minors in Bologna and its province, a meeting took place which saw the participation of around 250 young people, belonging to the aforementioned communities, of different nationalities (Tunisian, Egyptian, Albanian, Somali, Gambian and Pakistani).

The meeting, based on discussion and dialogue, addressed the issue of the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency which often concerns the same guests of the facilities present and had the objective of creating a social network between all the institutions involved in the protection of minors.

To this end, the Police Commissioner Antonio Sbordone, the Mayor Matteo Lepore, the Episcopal Vicar for the Charity sector Don Massimo Ruggiano, the president of the Juvenile Court of Bologna Gabriella Tomai and the President of the Islamic Community of Bologna Yassime Lafram participated and intervened.

Some of the young people present actively participated in the meeting by expressing their point of view and giving food for thought to promote integration, respect for the rules and laws of our territory.
