The Board of Directors of the Centrale del Latte of Alessandria and Asti has summoned the unions who think the impossibility of finding an industrial partner will be communicated. Liquidation is feared. There are around 50 jobs at risk.
“The choice of procedure undertaken by the Board of Directors was the one that most protected the search for safeguarding jobs and business continuity. While waiting for the specific scenario to be defined, the Board of Directors will introduce all the necessary actions in the interests of employees and the company.” – specified the board of directors of Centrale del Latte of Alessandria and Astifollowing the session held yesterday to discuss the situation as of 31 March 2024, the analysis of the sales situation as of 30 April 2024 and the update of the examination of the expressions of interest received.
“Having taken note of the lack of formal binding proposals for the acquisition of the Company and the consequential communication of Dr Ezio Cizza, expert appointed by the Chamber of Commerce for the Negotiated Settlement procedure of the crisis, for the closure of the same, the Board of Directors has resolved the interruption of the activity compatibly with the commercial commitments undertaken and with the disposal of the stocks of products in the warehouse, as the conditions for business continuity no longer exist”.
Tomorrow, Thursday 9 May, demonstration by the workers of the Centrale del Latte in front of the company both in via Massobrio and in via Pisacane.
