With defeat in the Castiglione derby, CP ToscoService Grosseto’s season in Serie B ends

Grosseto: With the defeat in the derby against Castiglione 7-1, the disappointing and unfortunate season of the Grosseto ToscoService Skating Club in the Serie B championship came to an end. Fabio Bellan’s boys, due to a series of vicissitudes over the course of the year, injuries, suspensions and absences due to work commitments, they were unable to achieve the objective of third place, leaving a bit of a bitter taste in their mouths also in light of the fact that on the last day Prato beat Versilia Forte dei Marmi who narrowly surpassed the red and whites in the final ranking. On the Casa Mora track, on the last day, CP Grosseto faced Blue Factor, already qualified for the finals, which will be played in Forte dei Marmi. The first half ended with Federico Paghi’s biancocelesti leading 4-1, with goals from Santoni and Montauti, interspersed with Michele Nerozzi’s penalty goal for the red and whites, and a brace from Piro. In the second half Castiglione controlled and scored three more times: with Mantovani, Palushi and Mantovani again. The Grosseto players missed a total of four direct shots which, if successful, would have made the final score less significant.
