Checks in via Anzani in Como, a twenty-year-old arrested

The checks carried out by the police on the evening of Tuesday 7 May in via Anzani in Como led to the identification of 20 people and the arrest of a twenty-year-old resident of the city, with a police record for detention for the purpose of dealing drugs. Another eight of the twenty people identified also had criminal or police records and among these there was also an eighteen-year-old, with a history of drug and property crimes, against whom the officers issued an administrative sanction for the possession of two grams of hashish.

The arrested twenty-year-old was found, during the police check, sitting outside one of the two rooms into which the officers entered: the young man initially attempted to hide the drugs, approximately 4 grams of heroin divided into doses, under a a glass, but was caught with the drug in his hands.

The checks carried out in the area, which had already been the subject of the attention of the police in recent days, then led to the detection of some administrative irregularities with consequent fines amounting, in total, to around 1700 euros. Not only that, a part reserved for gastronomy of a bar located in Vita was closed. Other irregularities involving fines ranging from 3 thousand to 24 thousand euros have also been reported.

Other small quantities of hashish were also found in the area, which had been conveniently hidden, but it was not possible to identify who brought them to via Anzani. The police officers were supported during the operations by the Carabinieri labor protection unit, by the canine units of the financial police and by Ats.
