CAP 2000A Conad confirms its support at the “Annunziata” Hospital in Cosenza, through a donation of 70,000 euros to the gynecology and obstetrics department to finance the purchase of a new water birth tub.
This collection initiative is part of a Conad project launched at a national level to support hospitals active with pediatric projects: in the last two years Conad has donated 4.1 million euros in this area, giving a concrete hand to those who work every day to make the lives of all hospitalized children as normal as possible.
That of PAC 2000A Conad is a constant and concrete commitment, which in the last three years allowed us to contribute with a donation of over 240,000 euros to the “Annunziata” hospital in Cosenza.
The delivery ceremony of the symbolic donation check took place this morning at the hospital headquarters, in the presence of the Commissioner of Ao Cosenza, De Salazarby the Director of external relations PAC 2000A Conad Alessandro Meozzi and the Calabria Area Director of PAC 2000A Pietro Provenzano.
The donation, the result of the solidarity collection initiative “A fairytale collection” and created in collaboration with GOOFI by Egan, supports the pediatric departments in the area thanks to the precious contribution of Conad customers who participated by purchasing the products from the line of GOOFI Christmas subjects inspired by fairy tale characters and made of 100% recycled plastic (ABS) .
For each Christmas subject from the GOOFI line sold in Conad stores in Sicily from October to December 2023, PAC 2000A Conad donated 50 cents in favor at the “Annunziata” Hospital in Cosenza.
“We are happy to support, for the third consecutive year, the Hospital and its healthcare staff, who work tirelessly to guarantee care and treatment to the Calabrian population. As in previous years our contribution had financed the purchase of machinery for the pediatric department, the donation of a new tub for water births is a gesture of closeness to all future mothers in the area and their children. I would like to express sincere thanks to our customers for having participated in this initiative in large numbers and to our members for their constant support of charitable activities. We are aware that together we can make a real difference and achieve results that go beyond our individual capabilities”. He has declared Pietro Provenzano, Director of the Calabria area of PAC 2000A Conad.
CONAD’S INITIATIVE
This initiative is part of a Conad project launched at the end of 2021 to support hospitals active with pediatric projects throughout Italy: in the last three years Conad has donated over 5.8 million euros, of which more than 1.7 million in 2023, in this area.
The commitment dedicated to sustainable partnerships and, in particular, to loyalty initiatives to support people and communities, is part of Conad’s major sustainability project “Support the future”, based on three fundamental dimensions: respect for the environment, attention to people and communities, valorization of the entrepreneurial fabric and of the Italian territory.
