solidarity with the professor from Corigliano Rossano

The vice president of the Senate Gian Marco Centinaio (Lega): I express my solidarity with the professor from Corigliano Rossano

“I express my solidarity with the professor from Corigliano Rossano who, according to what emerges, was brutally beaten with a helmet and then kicked and punched by a student, to whom he had given a bad grade on a question. Violence is always wrong, but in schools it is even more so. Families first should teach boys and girls the importance of studying and respect for their teachers and the work they do.” This was stated by the vice president of the Senate Gian Marco Centinaio (Lega).

“Thanks to the League – recalls Centinaio – there is now a law that more severely punishes attacks on school staff. Furthermore, the new contract signed by Minister Giuseppe Valditara has granted teachers a salary increase, which leads especially the youngest ones to be among the highest paid in the category in Europe, as confirmed by recent OECD data. These are concrete actions that restore dignity to Italian schools and their teachers”, concludes the Lega senator.
