Thus begins the letter written by the principal Silvia Sommarugahead teacher of IC Varese 3 in memory of the teacher from the Canetta primary school in Sant’Ambrogio who just died at the age of 60 (fourth from the left in the photo above, together with her colleagues from the Canetta school).
“Teacher Laura certainly wasn’t a teacher: she was as a person with great ability to motivate, communicate and help every student who was lucky enough to have her as a teacher – states the Principal – Laura really was point of reference for colleagues and inspiration for students and parents. It allowed the students to give the best of themselves and discover a knowledge that in some way is already being formed and which only needs to be valorised and addressed”.

And I have the image of my first teacher, that woman, that teacher, who took me when I was 6 years old, at the first level of school.

The educational community of the Varese 3 A.Vidoletti Institute is dismayed and heartbroken and mourns the passing of one of its teachers: teacher Laura Dalla Fiore.
Usually in these cases we usually say: “there are no words”.
I, director of the Institute, on behalf of all the staff, with difficulty due to emotion, will try to find them.Teachers are significant and important figures in the education of the child precisely because they are the ones who teach the little ones the first scholastic contents and lead and educate them to live outside their own family.
In primary school, in addition to the different disciplines, you also learn the rules of respect for your classmates and authoritative figures , just like teachers are. The teachers’ work is particularly delicate because they have to deal with individuals in the growth phase on whom their influence will be decisive, together with that of the parents, for the formation of the adults that the children will become in the future.
Many times we worry about how to teach, what programs to carry out, what projects to organize or what books to choose.
I think the question is exactly wrong.
To do school you don’t have to do, but you have to be.You study to be a good teacher, you listen and continue to continuously innovate yourself and your own teaching and educational skills in order to then be credible with your students.
Teacher Laura certainly wasn’t a teacher: she was a person with a great ability to motivate, communicate and help every student who was lucky enough to have her as a teacher.
Laura was truly a point of reference for her colleagues and an inspiration for students and parents.It allowed students to give the best of themselves and discover knowledge that in some way is already forming and which just needs to be enhanced and addressed.
Teacher Laura will certainly be missed by all of us: by her colleagues at the Canetta school in S.Ambrogio and by all the school staff, by the families and children of today and yesterday who met her on their path of growth.
