The municipal administration joins the environmental volunteering initiative “CLEAN GREEN DAY”promoted by the Lombardy Region since 1987 to inform and involve citizens on environmental issues.
This year it will take place on Sunday 12 May.
The day aims to raise awareness among citizens, starting from the youngest, so that they develop a sense of responsibility and belonging to the place where they live, work, study and spend their free time. The objective of the day is, in particular, to raise awareness of the serious problem of waste abandonment, asking people to dedicate a few hours to cleaning up some areas of the city, with gloves and bags in hand.
In Busto the event will take place in Borsano, in particular in the green area between Via Baraggioli and Burattana: associations and citizens are invited to participate in abandoned waste collection activities starting from 9.45 am, the time when the collection is scheduled meeting of participants in the PIME car park in via Lega Lombarda 20.
Volunteers must be equipped with personal protective equipment, AGESP SpA will guarantee the supply of bags, the collection of waste collected separately and its subsequent disposal. Registration by May 10th to the email [email protected].
Plastic Free participates in the initiative, an integral part of the Clean Green Agenda promoted by the municipal administration with the aim of coordinating environmental cleaning activities promoted in the area, which in turn has involved and raised awareness of other associations.
This year too, one will be linked to the initiative photo call.
Participants will be able to send the most representative photos of the Day to the email [email protected]: the Municipality will in turn send the most significant ones to the Lombardy Region which will then publish them on the regional portal.
