“Today for Tomorrow”, Ceraso makes known the composition of his list

“Today for Tomorrow-Ceraso Mayor”: this is the name of the civic list of candidate Maria Vittoria Ceraso, who announced the composition in these hours and which will be deposited on Friday morning at the electoral office. A list, the candidate says, “supported by 300 subscribers”. The official presentation is scheduled for Thursday 16 May at 7pm in Cascina Moreni.

There are 27 candidates, “to whom I would like to thank them for their willingness to get involved and support me in a time in which commitment to politics, even just at a local level, is viewed with disillusionment and distrust” underlines Ceraso. “The ambition of the list is precisely to arouse interest and why not even enthusiasm by recognizing in the people who make it up a novelty and an ability to be representative of different generations, professions and backgrounds”.

Among the peculiarities of the list, the fact that it is made up of a majority of women (15, against 12 men), “ensuring equal gender participation well beyond legal constraints” and a third of under 35s, to “be credible also on the issue of young people’s protagonism”.

“Among the latter there are university students, even second generation ones, young people who are already parents of several children and who represent hope compared to the trend of declining birthrates, freelancers and business owners who have decided to get involved with activities in precisely, those who study and work to promote sport as an educational and social tool” explains the candidate.

“No less significant is the representation of the over 35s in terms of professional and life experience. There are those who bring their experience lived (or are living) with great dedication in public administration, those who have worked hard to guarantee safety in the police or in the armed forces and those who are still doing so as Superintendent of Penitentiary Police in a reality as difficult as prison.

There are owners or employees of commercial businesses, in the real estate sector and in the catering sector. There are those who deal with health issues as rehabilitation therapists or with hearing aid skills and those who are personally facing the difficulties of disability. Those who, when retired, play the very important role of grandfather or uncle, looking after their grandchildren and those who dedicate themselves to volunteering.

But there are also those who have chosen to take care of their family as a housewife to take care of their children or elderly parents. The list also includes beautiful stories of integration following immigration from southern Italy, Europe or non-EU countries.

All these life experiences have led us to develop a program that puts young people at the center and a pact between generations to support the development of the city, the alliance between politics and businesses, the redevelopment of municipal assets to improve safety (road maintenance , cycle paths and sidewalks), the decorum and usability of meeting spaces, especially green areas and sports facilities, attention to health especially linked to pollution, safety understood as protection of the territory but above all as prevention also through the role fundamental aspect of sport which we consider crucial on educational issues, longevity and healthy lifestyles, the tourist and cultural promotion of the area through better planning and communication of events”.

In order to achieve all this, according to Ceraso, “there is however the need to build not only a relationship between administrators and citizens but also between the municipal structure and citizens: it is necessary to simplify and solve problems by moving away from a bureaucratic and formalist approach which complicates further people’s lives rather than facilitating them, there is a need for a Municipality that is close to citizens and does not remain closed in rooms and offices but goes out, meets, checks, does not refer or delegate to others, controls, supervises.

But no less important is the premise of the program which aims to bring attention to a less conflictual style of doing politics and which seeks discussion and dialogue, especially on strategic projects which have value only if shared and which has creation as its guiding star. of Public Value, i.e. the improvement of citizens’ well-being”.

Precisely for this reason, at the presentation of the civic list Oggi per Domani I would like to publicly invite all the mayoral candidates and the representatives of their lists or parties with whom I certainly share the passion, commitment and courage to get involved for the city ” concludes Ceraso.
