The contract relating to the executive planning and execution of the decommissioning, reclamation and permanent safety measures of the site was signed on Tuesday morning. Caffaro factory (“First Phase Excerpt”). The document was signed by the Extraordinary Commissioner Mauro Fasano and by the temporary grouping of companies made up of Greenthesis Spa, Nico Srl and Acr.
Before the delivery of the site, however, there is still a formal step missing, that is, the procedure for taking possession of the area by the extraordinary commissioner Fasano has yet to be closed, who will only then be able to hand over the Caffaro site to the companies. A step that still requires about ten days before the actual construction site starts. The group of companies, meanwhile, asked the commissioner to be able to enter Caffaro, without instruments, only for some inspections.
The overall value of the works is 45 million euros and the duration of the contract is 41 months. The schedule of interventions initially includes the demolition of the buildings and the reclamation of the plant structures, only later, once the surfaces have been cleared, will the excavations for the reclamation of the land begin.
