Livorno, 8 May 2024 – The literary festival Slightly will see its realization again this year. The event, organized by Municipality of Livornoin collaboration with Itinera Cooperative, The Kiosk by Filippo Brandolini and the bookshop Feltrinelli of Livorno and with the support of Livorno Foundationwill take place in the month of July in the park of Villa Fabbricotti and will host authors from all over Italy.
The twenty names, still to be defined, will bring different images and aspects of life to the stage, to draw up collective dialogues aimed at all citizens. A combination of poetry and narrative to give voice to stories from different worlds, guaranteeing, as every year, the variety of literary genres and the multiplicity of publishing houses present.
Among the certain guests, the Livorno area Federico Maria Sardellimusician, painter and writer who in 2009 received the Silver Banner of the Regional Council of Tuscany for artistic eclecticism and cultural depth, Valerio Magrellipoet, writer, translator and literary critic, who will present a tribute to Giorgio Caproni, Carlo Lucarelliestablished writer of crime and noir literature, Antonio Scuratimulti-awarded Premio Strega 2019 and 2020 and at the top of the charts for two consecutive years, Daniele Mencarellipoet and writer, from whose novel Everything asks for salvation it was based on the television series of the same name published in 2022 on Netflix directed by Francesco Bruni, from Livorno Eva Giovanninijournalist, correspondent and television presenter, Silvia Calderoniactress, author and performer, with her debut novel Baby teeth, Roberta Recchia whose book All the life that remains it was sold in 15 countries, including England, France, Spain and Germany even before its publication in Italy.
Promote the spread of reading by making its practice a social habit and bring cultural institutions outside their borders, into accessible and welcoming open spaces, where people can meet and where the book becomes a meeting and discussion, a bearer of well-being and leisure. This is the dual objective of LeggerMente which, in its sixth edition, retraces directions already successfully tested and once again opens a window on the multifaceted and multifaceted world of imagination, culture and creativity.
All meetings will have free entry and will take place in the park Villa Fabbricottiheadquarters of Labronica FD Guerrazzi Librarycenter of the Livorno library system.
