Messina Under15, coach Domenico Moschella leaves: “I’m getting back into the game”

Bitter epilogue for training Under 15 Messina national teamwho ended the season with a defeat on the field of Virtus Francavilla (3-1). Match which closed the year of the young Giallorossi, but also coincides with the end of the relationship with the coach Dominic Moschella who, for three seasons in the youth sector, among Camaro And Messinaannounced his intention to leave.

Ninth place with 35 points for the Giallorossi, “catapulted” into a new dimension after last summer’s agreement between Camaro And Messinanow concluded early: “There was a lot of enthusiasm early on. The results up until December had been exceptional and with the team we were always in the top positions. The boys followed me well but, after the break, in the second round we dropped a bit and the team paid a bit for the fact that for almost everyone it was their first experience in a national championship against more accustomed opponents.”explained mister Moschellawho was confronted, for him too, with a new reality: “The national championship is important, there are clubs that are more prepared and ready, with teams made in time. We were in our first year and started from scratch, but with the club we decided to focus on kids from the area, from Messina, Milazzo, Barcelona or Calabria to give them visibility.”
The leap from the Regional, with the victorious Camaro of the last two seasons, to the National, with Messina, was felt but it was a positive experience: “The agreement between Camaro and Messina was made at the last moment, but I had no doubts about president D’Arrigo’s organisation. Of course the trips were longer, but I always did everything with enthusiasm and I had the opportunity to coach an important team like the Messina national Under 15 team.”

After his time with the first teams of Jonica And Hygieia (last experience in 2019/2020), mister Moschella in recent seasons he has always been involved in the youth sector: “I started by chance with the Camaro taking over from Corrado Randazzo and I got along well. The Camaro project has allowed us to bring many kids into the professional ranks, enhancing our kids. They have been spectacular years, with great emotions and I am proud to have been part of them”. Now, however, the desire and desire to change, seeking new stimuli: “I am open to new projects both with young people but also with adults. I want to get back into the game”
While waiting for the right call, there will be weeks of reflection for the coach who, with the greats, has always played excellent championships, also achieving the leap into Excellence with Jonica and, between one commitment and another, continued to follow the Messina championships and teams: “It’s a shame for Messana, it was a bad blow. It’s the biggest disappointment of the season. I am happy for Atletico Messina who, with sacrifices and many young people, fought to reach a great goal. And I’m also pleased for Villafranca, who have returned to Promotion after so many years.”

Maybe they are teams that he could coach or he will find himself as an opponent, but there will be time to decide. Meanwhile mister Moschella evaluates proposals and follows the child carefully Manuelborn in 2007 who, after excellent seasons with the neroverde, also showed off with the team shirt Lucchese (series C company): “It’s not easy to live a year out, but it went well. He was captain of the Under 17s, then played in the second half of the season with Primavera3 and in the middle of the season he also moved to the first team. Furthermore, he was also called up to the Under 17 national team.”he underlined Moschellafather and coach who sees a young talent grow: “He has grown physically and mentally, he has understood that the professional reality is different. He is training, even if his only regret is not having had the opportunity to make his debut in the first team, he came close but there will be time. Future? Let’s wait to understand. There are contract proposals but we want to wait and leave all discussions open at the end of the season.”
