PISTOIA – On May 12th CasaSicura will celebrate its 10th birthday with an extraordinary opening to citizens. On 11 May 2014 “CasaSicura Giorgo Tesi” hosted the first visitors, thus inaugurating the first and only educational path on home security existing in Italy on an area of 200 square meters of covered, furnished and heated rooms, equipped with the most advanced and current technologies , granted on loan by the Grouped Institutes.
During these ten years CasaSicura has not only maintained its record of uniqueness, but also
over 802 training meetings were held within it, it welcomed 30 educational directions, 170 schools, 512 teachers and awarded the “Family Firefighter” Diploma to 20,306 children, young people, elderly people and citizens; the visit allowed all of them to identify the dangers present in our domestic environments, as well as learning the right strategy to avoid them or know how to manage them in the best way.
Furthermore, schools from over 30 municipalities and four provinces participated. From 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm the members of the ANVV.F. will welcome all those who wish to learn about this educational project aimed at home safety. Older children and adults will be able to experience the exciting seismic chamber where a wave earthquake comparable to 4° on the Richter scale is simulated, which allows them to indicate the most suitable behavior to follow in similar circumstances.
In the square in front, “Pompieropoli” will be set up, a recreational path through which i
children will become firefighters for a day: in this fantastic circuit they will be able to simulate the activities of a real intervention while wearing safety protections like those of the firemen,
tackling the ladder, pole and tunnel and putting out a real fire; upon completion they will receive the coveted Junior Firefighter Diploma.
And to the delight of those with a sweet tooth, everyone will be offered an ice cream generously donated by
Sammontana. So CasaSicura awaits you from 10am to 12pm and from 2pm to 6pm in Corso
